That was followed by a gathering the next year, at Bucknell University, hosted by Molly Wingate. Then, in 1986, after a third gathering at Georgetown University co-sponsored by the University of Maryland , Haring-Smith sent out a &#8220;Proposal to form a Conference on Peer Tutoring in Writing.&#8221; It was from this document that NCPTW came to establish itself as an organization.
