We&#8217;ll be posting some restaurant recommendations later this week on the conference webpage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few tips on what to bring:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>An umbrella and\/or raincoat with a hood<\/strong>: We are hoping for sunny weather while you&#8217;re here, but mid-October is when the rainy season starts, so it&#8217;s good to be prepared.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A conference name tag lanyard if you have one (or more to share!)<\/strong>: Many of us have picked up a lot of conference lanyards over the years. In the interest of sustainability, we&#8217;ll have some name badge options handy, but if we&#8217;re encouraging people to bring their own lanyards. Feel free to strike up a conversation with people about where their lanyards came from!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Running gear (if you like to run)<\/strong>: Tacoma is a great running city, and there is a lovely city park that&#8217;s a mile from the conference, and a couple of Puget Sound peer tutors who are cross country runners will be leading a run there on Saturday morning, with a total run distance of about 3 miles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>See you soon!<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re looking forward to welcoming you to Tacoma in just a couple of weeks!&nbsp; We have lots of exciting things planned.
